Our story
D&J's started as a family plant hire business. In 2015 Darren O'Mahony and James Horgan set up D&J's Civil Construction to take on full civil packages, and we've grown job by job since.
Today we're a team of 17 directly employed staff with more than 30 items of our own plant, working from our yard in Ormeau for developers, councils and head contractors across South East Queensland and Northern NSW. We've delivered more than 100 projects, from residential subdivisions to sewer, water and drainage packages, and much of our work comes from clients who've used us before.
We're still owner-operated. Our directors are on site, so you deal directly with the people who make the decisions, and the values we started with as a family business still guide every job: safety, quality, and timely, honest, reliable service.
